This year we have not one, but two of the best high school jazz bands in the country performing. And if you think these young musicians are just kids – think again. These musical talents are some of this year's festival must-sees. Show up – and come watch some of the best, young performers around.
Osceola County School for the Arts, Kissimmee Florida
This school has one of the most ambitious and awarded fine arts programs in Florida. Their Jazz Band A clinched the prestigious Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band competition in New York City this spring with a jaw-dropping performance.
Tarpon Springs Jazz Ensemble
Like Osceola, Tarpon Springs was one of the only 20 High School bands from all over the world invited to compete at this year’s Essentially Ellington competition in New York City.
