We’re busy planning the Suncoast Jazz Festival. Once again, we need your help this November. Our festivals’ successes are due to your elbow grease, humor, and your dedication. Thank you for all you do!

Volunteer Benefits
All our beloved volunteers receive festival perks.
One ( 1 ) 3 day General Admission festival ticket
Festival parking at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort is $10/day with special promo code “JAZZ10” entered when you register your car as parked with their QR code.
Free off-site parking is available at Sand Key Park, next to (just north of) the Sheraton Sand Key Resort. This park closes at 12:30am.A parking pass must be displayed on the dash of your car. Parking passes can be obtained by your team leader at Jazz Up on October 28th, or in the Volunteer Room during the festival.
The Festival van will provide transportation to and from the Sheraton and Sand Key Park on Friday from 9:00am-12:30am(midnight), Saturday 8:30am-12midnight, and Sunday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Event Volunteer Terms
We ask all volunteers to register online.
Sign up closes TBD.
All positions require 12 hours of volunteer work in exchange for the 3 day General Admission pass to the festival.
All volunteers must attend the volunteer meeting to meet with the volunteer chairs. Light refreshments will be served. This year, the volunteer meeting will be held at the Elks Lodge #2159 at 810 16th Avenue SE, Largo, FL, 33771, 5:30 - 7:30pm
Must purchase a festival t-shirt, if needed, at cost ($15) and wear it during each shift.
Must be able to perform responsibilities for your selected area as indicated.
Lastly, we will do everything possible to honor your requested shifts. However, some requested shifts may not be available.
Event Volunteer Opportunities - TBD
Listed below are the volunteer opportunities. Thank you for considering being a part of the festival’s success!
When you apply, you will identify your service choices and availability. We will do our best to assign you your first choice, however your selected times may not be available. All positions require 12 hours of volunteer work in exchange for the 3 day General Admission festival ticket.

Chain Gang (6)
PURPOSE: Help load and unload truck with supplies from original source to hotel prior to festival and back again after festival.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Be a part of a team that moves music stands, kitchen supplies, festival decorations, etc. from original source .
Be able to help lift from 10-50 pounds
Hospitality Volunteers (30)
PURPOSE: Work with hospitality Team Leaders to coordinate food service for musicians, their families, and festival staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that hospitality room is clean
Replenish food and beverage items
Offer musicians hospitality, gratitude, and food without hovering
Arrange food on platters
Be able to transport food on trays from kitchen area to hospitality suite
Practice safe food handling
Ticket Sales Volunteers (15)
PURPOSE: Check in festival attendees and provide badges, performance schedules, and event information.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Use personal iPad or cell (iPhone only) to check-in guests.
Be familiar with ticket options
Provide badges and event programs and information
Know how to use QR codes
Know how to use a credit card machine
Signage/Decor Volunteers (15)
PURPOSE: Ensure that correct signage is displayed throughout festival event.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Change signs on sponsors for tables for each performance
Insert schedule in frame outside each performance venue
Ability to place signs in a timely manner
Venue Host Volunteers (60)
PURPOSE: Host venue entrances, and welcome guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as usher for performances
Must be able to stand for 4 hours
Open and close doors at appropriate times
Check badges to ensure that people have purchased the appropriate tickets
Must be strong enough to open and close doors
Clean up papers and cups, etc. after each performance
Hospitality Greeters (9)
PURPOSE: Welcome musicians to Hospitality, and Sponsors to the Sponsor Receptions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor doors to Hospitality
Check badges to verify access
Graciously turn folks away if they are in the wrong place
Welcome musicians without hovering
Provide information, as requested
Parking (8)
PURPOSE: As the face of festival, Parking Volunteers will greet guests and volunteers, hand out parking passes, and guide guests to park their cars with the Sheraton QR code system.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Need to be able to be outdoors for extended periods of time
Should be comfortable using cell phones and QR codes.
